What exactly is self love?
Isn’t it some self-absorbed, airy fairy idea that means you’re vein and stuck up?
Oh no! So far from it. Self love is simply the same love that you direct to others, but directed towards yourself. Is the love you give to your child, husband, mother or dog seen as selfish and wrong? How then can that same love simply sent towards yourself be anything but good?
Self love is essential to our journeys in this world. We need to prioritise nourishing and nurturing ourselves with love, so that our cups are over-flowing. Then we are able to share more love with others, not from a place of lack, but from a deep well of love. Love creates more love. Love is not selfish. The more you can direct love at yourself, the more love you have to share with others.
As my teacher and mentor, Christine Arylo says:
Self-love is the unconditional love and respect you have for yourself that is so unwavering that you only choose loving, respectful situations and relationships, including the one with yourself.
Self Love is a Path, a Practice and a Choice you make everyday in your relationships, work, health, wealth, home, everything.
On my health journey I became aware of this concept of self love…
First through EFT, then my Chinese Healer, then through people like Anita Moorjani and Wayne Dyer, and then in 2016 I came across Christine Arylo and her Path of Self Love. It was the missing key for me. I decided to join the school, and as of October 2017 have completed my year-long training to be certified in using the powerful tools that Christine has been using with thousands of women in the last 10 years.
Suddenly self love wasn’t a concept I was trying to navigate anymore. I was given tools. Simple, yet powerful tools that I could implement easily on a daily basis to deepen my connection with me – the most important relationship in my life.
So here I am. Passionate and inspired to share these incredible tools with you, and guide you along your own unique and beautiful journey in this world.
